General Position Summary:  

The Customer Service Representative answers incoming calls and provides product, pricing, and order information in response to customer inquiries.   The CSR processes customer orders and payments via phone, email, and web, and responds to customer concerns and requests in an accurate and timely manner. 

 

Essential Job Functions: 

• Answers incoming calls, identifies and assesses customer needs, and responds to customer inquiries via phone, email, or web in a timely manner.
• Processes phone, email and web orders by accurately entering customer account, pricing, billing and payment information into system and confirming order with customer.
• Communicates with Shipping, Receiving, Purchasing, and Accounting departments regarding customer orders, exchanges, and returns.
• Provides customers with detailed product specifications, pricing and order information.
• Responds to customer complaints by researching the problem, determining a solution and communicating outcome to the customer in a clear, concise and professional manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of Delasco products and services.
• Knowledge of computers, internet, web-based systems & Microsoft office business suite.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to listen attentively in order to accurately gather information.
• Ability to read, understand and accurately interpret both the oral and written word.
• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner.
• Ability to analyze and effectively resolve customer problems and concerns.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to function as a team player.
• Ability to listen, learn and apply new knowledge quickly.
